The Trade Council

The Trade Council is the entity of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs that advises and solves assignments for Danish export companies. The support by the Trade Council and the commercial advisors contributes to securing the best possible conditions for Danish companies in the international competitive market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Germany is Denmark's largest trade partner and one of the world's leading exporting nations. Therefore the German market is a central and strategically wise market to start or expand the company's international activities. A well-developed market like the German is characterized by vast competition. Therefore a successful market entry demands thorough planning and well-considered strategies.

The Trade Council in DACH offers Danish companies a broad range of strategic services, for instance market analyses, partner searches and export strategies. We assist Danish companies with market analyses tailored the need of the individual company. Further we assist in the development of export strategies, that consider the company's resources and potential.

As a part of the Trade Council, our public affairs advisors offer services in the cross-field between commercial knowledge, political insight and local presence to strengthen Danish companies' foundation for making strategic decisions on the German market.

We assist furthermore with the scheduling of visits at German companies and potential business partners, where we can also attend presentations and negotiation meetings.
