Dronesystems - from Masterclass to Alliance

Gina Nielsen, Head of Sales and Marketing, describes the experience with The Trade Council's masterclass programme SBM+ as a way of trying out, whether they would be a fit for the alliance:

"I was recommended to join the Masterclass. I didn't doubt for a moment that it would be a good idea. It has turned out to be really good and rewarding for us. It has moved several issues that I am sure would not have moved if we had not had this input from the mentors and from the Foreign Ministry staff. Without it we would not have changed those things. So, the class was fruitful in all sorts of ways. Some of the input I have been able to incorporate into our sales material, so it has not only had an impact on our German market strategy, but actually had an impact on how we act abroad in general."

Even though Drone Systems had not participated in a Masterclass before they had clear expectations. Gina Nielsen explains how the expectation to gain knowledge was met but also that she was surprised as to how this knowledge was gained:

"Well, I got some truths, and I took them to heart, and they have turned out to be spot-on. It was great that the mentors did not mince words but talked straight from the bag. I am very happy and grateful for that."

Masterclass is in Gina Nielsen’s mind a good way to work with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She says: 

"I would definitely recommend attending a Masterclass, joining an alliance or using the Danish Foreign Ministry because it just turns out that it's really useful.  They know who to talk to, they know who they are, they can help with the information we need, and this opens new doors for us."

Ever since the Masterclass, Drone Systems is looking forward to further collaboration with the Trade Council's Dänische Fernwärme Alliance (Danish District Heating Alliance):

"We are very satisfied that we joined the alliance. We hope that we now can find a pilot project so that we can demonstrate what we can do."
