The Danish Consulate General in Hamburg is looking for a new colleague to join our Water Technology Advisory (WTA) EU Team – someone who’s proactive, well-organized, and passionate about making things happen.

About the Role

As part of the WTA EU Team, you’ll play a central role in ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication across our European team spanning Poland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden and Italy. You’ll help shape the way we present our work internally and externally, and you’ll support the team with project coordination, funding applications, and key administrative processes that keep our initiatives running efficiently.

Your work will make a real difference in promoting Danish water solutions across Europe, supporting a team that drives green transition and innovation in the water sector.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead communication efforts for the European WTA team: coordinate and produce engaging content such as articles, case stories, and visual materials that showcase Danish water technologies and the team’s activities across Europe, in close coordination with the communication team in Copenhagen.
  • Coordinate and streamline administrative processes across the WTA EU Team, including maintaining CRM data, supporting internal reporting and budgeting, and preparing offers and contracts. As part of our business development efforts, you will engage closely with Danish water companies to ensure that our offers and activities align with their needs and opportunities.
  • Contribute to project development by drafting funding applications, assisting with project budgets, and ensuring compliance and alignment with HQ in Copenhagen.
  • Lead our SME program across the WTA EU Team, supporting Danish water SMEs in preparing for entry into selected European markets. You will coordinate activities, be in contact with the Danish water companies and ensure alignment with team objectives to maximize impact and market readiness.
  • Assist in team management by organizing and participating in team meetings (both online and in-person), attending market-specific meetings, and ensuring effective knowledge sharing across European markets.
  • Collaborate across borders - you’ll be in daily contact with colleagues from multiple European markets, supporting joint initiatives and knowledge sharing.
  • Engage socially and professionally with colleagues at the Consulate General of Denmark in Hamburg. You will be part of the WTA EU Team in Germany.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant studies and/or initial work experience (e.g. communication, project coordination, business administration, international relations, or similar)
  • An independent and proactive mindset, with attention to detail and structure
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach
  • A strong communicator who can write clearly and engagingly in English and Danish
  • Proficiency in verbal communication in Danish, English, and ideally German
