Invest in Denmark is looking for an ambitious and results-driven person with a background in Cleantech to strengthen our investment promotion activities in Germany. Your main tasks will be to attract foreign companies and investments into Denmark within the Cleantech sector.
You will be based at the Consulate General of Denmark in Munich and report directly to the Regional Director of Europe who is based in Copenhagen. The Consulate General of Denmark in Munich aims to contribute to a more competitive and resilient Europe by connecting partners – corporates, SMEs, start-ups, and innovation ecosystem actors – in Denmark and Germany.
As a member of our Invest in Denmark’s Europe team of 9 experienced advisors, you will be part of our global organization of 60 colleagues working with investment promotion. Close cooperation with our teams of economic diplomacy advisors in the North West Europe Region can be expected.
Areas of responsibility
Invest in Denmark has a strategic focus on Cleantech, in particular Power-to-X, CCUS, Energy Storage, Wind Energy, Green Maritime and Circular Economy. Your main task as International Investment Manager is to attract foreign companies to select Denmark as their location for future production, business or research activities. You will collaborate closely with colleagues placed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in Copenhagen. Your tasks amongst others will include:

Analysis of the Cleantech sector in Germany including identifying key company targets and business trends.

Preparation of sales pitches and proactive promotion-activities of Denmark as the best destination to invest in. Matching value propositions in Denmark with business strategies of the foreign investors.

Creating a solid network of key stakeholders to cooperate with on investment promotion.

Developing and maintaining a pipeline of potential investors in order to reach yearly KPIs for attracting investments to Denmark.

Plan and execute communication and marketing activities that promotes Denmark as an attractive investment destination.

Contributing to crosscutting events and projects between invest, export and innovation promotion strengthening synergy between the different departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in particular at the Consulate General of Denmark in Munich.
Your profile
We expect that you have a master’s degree in business, economics, or relevant STEM and that you have a strong commercial and technical mind-set. Moreover, the ideal candidate:
- Has at least 3-5 years of experience from the Cleantech sector or similar knowledge-intensive sectors.
- Has documented international sales, consulting or business development experience.
- Has a thorough understanding of company strategies, innovation trends and technologies.
- Is fluent in English and German, both written and spoken. Danish is also an advantage.
- Has a broad professional network at an appropriate level in Germany.

Employment Conditions

You will be offered a two-year contract with the possibility of extension.

The standard working hours are 37 hours per week, including a 30-minute lunch break.

You will be entitled to 25 days of paid holiday per year.

Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results.

The employment is subject to a security check by the Danish authorities.
