Position: Project Manager for Commercial Communication and Coordination (m/f/d)
Type of employment: Two-year local fulltime contract based on the Staff Rules of the Mission, with possibility of extension.
Starting date: 1 January 2026 or as soon as possible after security approval

The Embassy is looking to hire a proactive and structured professional to structure the region’s commercial communication and support the coordination of the NWEU region (DACH and Benelux).
You will play a central role in ensuring efficient coordination, communication and visibility of the commercial activities. The position provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into the strategic and operational priorities of economic diplomacy in the region and the cross section of politics, public diplomacy and commercial activities.
About the position
In this position you will be the anchor point for the region’s commercial communication. You will plan social media and press activities in close cooperation with the sector teams and the embassy’s press department, and set the direction for commercial communication. Further, you will support internal coordination processes, to ensure alignment with the strategic focus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and reach regional KPIs.
The position offers significant learning opportunities for a young professional with strong organisational and communication skills who is eager to work in the cross section of diplomacy and business.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Coordinate commercial communication and activities on the region’s social media channels
- Support internal coordination across the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commercial teams in DACH and Benelux
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, delegation visits, workshops, and other activities
- Set communication goals and develop internal guidelines
- Motivate colleagues to use social media
- Help prepare briefings, reports, and presentations related to trade activities and communication
- Maintain and update internal contact lists, schedules, and documentation
- You may also be asked to assist with certain administrative tasks within the embassy
Qualifications
- You have a relevant academic background within business administration, communication or a related field
- You are interested in international relations, business promotion, and public affairs
- You are well-organised, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can adapt your tone to different audiences
- You are a good team player, thrive in a collaborative environment, and are eager to learn
- Experience with social media content creation or administrative coordination will be seen as an asset
- You are fluent in English
- Knowledge of a Scandinavian language as well as German is an advantage; willingness to improve German skills is expected
