At Invest in Denmark we are now expanding our team and are looking for an additional investment manager to join our investment promotion setup in Munich. Your main tasks will be to promote and facilitate foreign direct investments into Denmark. Denmark offers international companies attractive business framework conditions and unique business and research opportunities within the sectors Life Sciences, Tech and Cleantech.

You will be based at the Consulate General of Denmark in Munich together with two Invest in Denmark colleagues and report directly to the Regional Director of Europe. As a member of our European team, you will have 9 experienced colleagues working with investment promotion.

Job description
Your role as Investment Manager is to identify, contact and build a network in large companies, primarily high-tech companies within Tech and Clean Tech.  Your mission is to convince German companies to select Denmark as their location for future activities. To assist you in reaching your specific goals in terms of investment projects brought to Denmark, you will collaborate with colleagues in the European team and receive comprehensive support from the organization in Denmark.

Requred qualifications

  • An MSc in business, economics, or relevant STEM.
  • 5+ years of working experience in the Tech, Cleantech or similar knowledge-intensive sectors, including documented international sales, consulting or business development experience.
  • Thorough understanding of company strategies, innovation trends and technologies.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken. Danish is also an advantage.
  • A broad professional network at an appropriate level.

Employment conditions

  • You will be offered full time employment on a time limited contract running until the end of 2021.  Extension depends on continuation of the funding, which has been granted extraordinarily for this position. You will be employed as a local employee at the Consulate.
  • The standard work week at the Consulate General is 37 hours. You will have a large degree of flexibility in organizing your own daily working hours.
  • You will be entitled to 5 weeks (25 working days) of paid holiday per year plus 10-12 public holidays (depending on the calendar year).
  • Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results.
