The Danish Embassy in Berlin is looking for an academic employee 

The embassy is looking for an academic employee for the Department of Communication, Culture and Public Diplomacy (KKP). The Department works with branding Denmark and the Danish government's political priorities, including efforts in the field of culture.


Job assignments

The tasks include - in addition to general case processing - strategic and operational cultural and communication work, contact with German media, decision-makers and opinion leaders, as well as implementation of the embassy's cultural, communication and PD activities in Germany in collaboration with German and Danish cultural partners.

Tasks for the embassy's political-economic department will occur; including analyses and reports on German policy. Tasks for the ambassador's secretariat and administration can also be expected.

The position is limited to 2 years employment with the possibility of extension. Working hours are 37 hours per week. Employment conditions are following local terms. Salary in accordance with qualifications according to individual agreement.

Qualifications
 We are looking for a colleague who:

- Has a relevant education - preferably in the field of communications or social science
- Has experience with working in the field of media and communications
- Speaks and writes fluent Danish and German - preferably at mother tongue level
- Has political understanding and knowledge of Danish and German society and cultural life
- Has a good knowledge of German and Danish history and cultural life
- Has good coordination skills
- Has good collaboration skills and can be part of informal sparring
- Is interested in networking
- Is flexible, adaptable and able to work under time pressure
- Works independently and efficiently without compromising on quality
- Has a sense of humour and a positive attitude

The employment requires security clearance from the Danish authorities.
