Investment Manager at the Consulate General and Innovation Center in Munich

Our current Investment Manager is changing to a position with the Innovation Team. So we are looking for an Investment Manager to be based at the Consulate General and Innovation Center in Munich. The successful applicant will join a team of experienced colleagues with background in investment promotion in seven different locations in Europe. This challenging and fulfilling job in an international environment offers plenty of travelling in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and occasional visits to Denmark.

Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Europe, your role as Investment Manager is to identify, contact and build a network in large multinational companies as well as in high tech companies, primarily in the areas of Cleantech, Tech or Life Sciences. Your mission is to convince them to choose Denmark as their location for future activities. To assist you in reaching your specific goals in terms of investment projects brought to Denmark and jobs created, you will interact with the team in Europe and receive comprehensive support from the organisation in Denmark. Finally, as being based at the Consulate General and Innovation Center, you will be collaborating with colleagues working with export promotion and innovation to arrange joint branding and networking events.

This position requires an MSc in business or economics, or the equivalent. Applicants are expected to have an excellent understanding of company strategies, innovation trends and technologies and preferably substantial working experience in one or more of the key industries (Tech, Cleantech and Life Sciences), including documented international sales or business development experience. A strong professional network at an appropriate level would be an advantage. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite, with Danish and German language competencies viewed as a big advantage. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills, a result-oriented approach, and an ability to negotiate persuasively at management level.

Salary according to qualifications, experience and subject to conditions of employment for locally employed personnel at the General Consulate / Munich Innovation Center. Start date as soon as possible.
